Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Our commitment at Ashfield and our parent company, UDG Healthcare, is to combine our employees’ individual backgrounds, perspectives and experiences to build a more diverse and inclusive organisation that represents all of us and the businesses we work with.
We encourage our people to share their unique experiences, perspectives and knowledge, which we see as crucial in our ability to achieve our business strategy. We wish to promote an environment where bias is challenged, diversity in thinking is promoted and different voices are encouraged and heard.
Our DEI Champion Network
Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Champion Network is made up of 20 volunteers from across our divisions, businesses and geography. They create engagement across the organisation and share existing practice, concerns or perceived issues and then develop a realistic and actionable plan.
Our Leaders and Managers are responsible for attracting and developing committed individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, who live our values, respect each other and recognise the benefits of difference. They are expected to work hard to ensure everyone is offered equality of opportunity to achieve their full potential in our organisation and ensure all decisions are based on merit and ability.
Diversity can be many things – gender, race and disability but also religion, culture, sexuality, language, socio-economic background and many others. When all of our differences are respected and channelled into our work then our business can benefit beyond expectations.
